06 Human Algorithm, 6th A of 6As from Zachary S Brooks PhD
Excerpt from The 6As by Zachary S. Brooks (Dr. Z) – Human Algorithm In The Human Algorithm, we explore how humans can re-program ourselves, how we can change behavior, and how we can change the course of history for the better. Doubt that? Then, think about the names Jesus, Moses, Mohammed, Confucius, or Buddha and how they changed the trajectory of human life by considering the behaviors under which people live and should live and you will appreciate the power of The Human Algorithm. Each of these humans in history came up with a new set of practices and applied it to their time and many of their practices because timeless because they apply to human behavior, the external and the internal human condition. Humans are not fundamentally different than 10,000 years ago but people at one point in time reflected on something and thought “I want the world to behave differently,” “I want society to behave differently” and so they thought through a series of actions and behaviors and words and thoughts and they changed the world fundamentally. Think about the names Marie Curie, Susan B. Anthony, Mary Seacole, Josephine Butler and Florence Nightingale have changed the trajectory of human life by considering the behaviors under which people live and should live and you will appreciate the power of The Human Algorithm. When we change our thought process and our behavior, and we apply that toward others we can change the world and hopefully we are changing the world for the better. The Human Algorithm is about distilling the other 5As but towards a super applied and better world and The Human Algorithm is most closely related to Advocacy because it is applied human activity, preferably a conscious human activity. Still doubt that? In the 20th century, Martin Luther King, Gandhi, Pablo Picasso, Neil Armstrong, Muhammad Ali, Rosa Parks, Mother Teresa, Frida Kahlo, Amelia Earhart, and Billy Jean King come to mind.
